Easter Monday

We went to visit grandparents for the weekend. Saturday we went to the Zoo. It was beautiful and sunny, in the 60s. Yesterday was cold and windy but we hid eggs and went to the lake and fed the ducks. Today we woke up to snow. It snowed until about noon, then the sun came out. There's only a little tiny bit of snow left on the deck. Weird weird weird.
And of course, we have pictures!

Daddy takes the Queen and DeBoy for a camel ride. He said he couldn't imagine riding one for any length of time.
You can see what a gorgeous day it was.
The Faerie Queene.
And the King.
This lion was sleeping when we first stopped. Then she raised her head and looked at my kids. Their Daddy said she was probably thinking, "Mmm, they look tasty!" There were 2 lions in this humongous enclosure full of trees and grass and bushes, and both of them were snuggled up in this corner.
Easter morning. The kids' cousin made the baskets.
Stylin' in my hat and ears.
Another successful egg hunt.Sweeping Uncle Wizard's deck.A rare family portrait that I'm willing to share. Cousin Wizard provided the elephant masks (which the kids are still wearing today). And at 9 am today . . .The bottom half of the same tree at noon.By 1 pm the snow was gone. It snowed again very briefly but very heavily at 2 pm. Now the sun is shining again. People often joke that if you don't like the weather around here just wait 5 minutes and it will change. Today that has definitely been proven true.

Damn! I'd like to ride a camel. And wear an elephant mask, too.

da'Wizard is pleased that the elephant masks were a hit....truck and all. Snowing in Oak Ridge, TN too....but no dusting like you folks. It is now time to walk the critters and dig up a few more weeds before the next round of mulching begins......

That "truck" word should have been "trunk"...guess I had my mind on a "truck" of mulch....I'm getting too old for computers....

You and your family are so lovely! Thanks for sharing that portrait.

It snowed here this weekend as well -- it hasn't quite melted yet, but it's close. Thank goodness. Enough with the snow.

Funny - that's what we say about the weather in New England too!

Looks like you have had a few full days of fun. Riding camels can be dangerous, especially for riders behind the camel...passing gas, you know. The camel. Not the riders. Well, hopefully.

Thanks for sharing all of your pictures! Beautiful family.

Add me to the want to ride a camel list! My kids would love that!

And I have to say, the hat with the ears was way too cute!

Baking cakes, taking wee ones for camel rides. What a great dad, again I say.
