August has ushered in temperatures in the high 90s. Of course, the two public pools here closed at the end of July because school was starting, in spite of the fact that August and September are the hottest months in this area. They don't even stay open on weekends.
So we sit out on our deck and play in the wading pool (the black things are sunflower seeds - the kids like to "help" me fill the birdfeeders). Yesterday we found an interesting bug on one of our plants. I looked in several insect and caterpillar ID websites and couldn't find him. Anybody out there know what this is?

Yep that looks like him - interesting the examples are from Australia - but we do have moths that look like that. Cool.
